If I have city water, isn’t it treated and safe?

City waters operate within the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) guidelines. They do a great job making sure our water is microbiologically safe. But chlorine, hardness minerals, heavy metals and other contaminants still lurk in the water as it travels from the treatment plant to your home. These contaminants should be removed to create a healthier quality of water for bathing, showering, drinking, and cleaning.
